Cristarmadillidium muricatum (Pineapple Spiky) Woodlice Isopods

Pineapples are shyer than some other species available, though they definitely feel more secure when kept in larger groups, leading to more activiy. Being a Spanish native, this species is easily maintained and is very tolerant of a range of temperatures. They do best kept between 1 and 27°C, but can tolerate temperatures of 30°C+. Like other Spanish species, this species prefers a less moist environment compared to other isopods, with plenty of airflow, as they may have issues moulting if humidity levels become too high.
